(The officer noticed that I had made a mistake on my application :( I think my application would have gone much faster without the interview. She also mentioned that 90% chance that my oath would be in person)

1. From your test invite PDF
2. If the prints are sent to Vancouver, they will update it on the tracker. If sent to Sydney, they don't update it in tracker but the BG will be completed the next day of FP receipt (if security is already completed).

Congratulations, they take between 1 week to 2 months to schedule oath after LPP. However, since you waited so much already, it might be scheduled faster whenever they have the slots available for oath.

Which city did you apply from and how many days of physical presence did you have?

Thanks for replying! I applied from Ottawa. I don't remember the exact number of days, but it was about five days more than the required number.

  • Oct 11, 2024: Citizenship oath status has been updated to In progress.
  • Oct 2, 2024: Physical presence status has been updated to Completed
  • Oct 2, 2024: Prohibitions status has been updated to Completed.
  • Sep 27, 2024: Language skills status has been updated to Completed.
  • Sep 17, 2024: Background verification status has been updated to Completed.
  • Sep 16, 2024: Fingerprint results: Received
  • Aug 28, 2024: We sent you a letter or email with instructions to submit your fingerprints.
  • Aug 12, 2024: Citizenship test status has been updated to Completed.
  • Aug 6, 2024: Scheduled to take the citizenship test online between August 6, 2024 and September 5, 2024
  • Jul 30, 2024: Citizenship test status has been updated to In progress.
