Hello all, I have received my ITA on 14th feb, 2024. I have noticed on website about processing time that it would take 6 months for FSW express entry profiles. Can anyone share their recent experience of their own or someone else who have received PR in the same stream from express entry? Does it take longer or shorter than 6 months after documents submission?
Thanks in advance.

6 months reflected on the official website refers to this:
Our processing times are historical, meaning they’re measured based on how long it took to process 80% of applications in the past.
Therefore 20% of applications are processed longer than 6 months and 80% took 6 or less. It might be 3, might be 5, it's all depends on your individual situation and case complexity.

Is there a chance that you will be processed faster than 6 months? Yes. Could someone says how fast it actually will be processed? No =)

Thanks bro for reply. I am glad to see your reply. However, this is the same info I have read on website. I want to know someone's personal experience. Like someone who have got PR approval in 3 months or 5 months or 7 months. Bcoz many times generic information on websites are far from reality. Thanks again for your reply dear.

October AOR
November AOR

You could see real cases reported here. But timing for 80% of applications shows bigger picture better in my opinion =)

Go through the AOR threads, you'll find that there's no definitive answer. All AOR thread data is anecdotal and not stat significant. Your processing time depends upon your application's complexity, IRCC meeting SLA/failing SLA, or your case processing officer.

IRCC is unpridictable. I submitted my ITA in January 2023. In July 2023 i received a notification from IRCC to provide additional documents for my Police Clearence from New Zealand. I submitted that in August 2023. In December my medical test was expiring so i got another medical test done and submitted it in January 2024. As of today (July 2024) i have not received any updates from IRCC. It just says my application is under process. My GCMS notes also don't say much about what's happening to my application. What's funny is i got my Nomination under FSWP and i even secured a Job Interview and got my LIA processed back in November 2022. It's going to be 2 Years and my employer is still waiting for me to join. Bottomline - IRCC is the worst immigration department i have come across in my life. I have been to other countries like Kuwait & New Zealand in past for Study & Work Purpose but i never faced such a delay.

Are you sure you're not stuck in security screening? If so, this little to do with IRCC. Check this thread as well https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/gcms-shows-security-screening-and-waiting-lets-gather-here.498854/

Hi there. I double checked in regards to my security screening. My employer in India where i use to work did inform me that he received a call from Canadian High Commission in New Delhi for verification. But eversince then there has not been any update. I'm guessing the security check that was suppose to happen in India has been completed. I'm wondering why is it taking so long for them to process my ITA as it should be in final stage. Even after this recent diplomatic fiasco i was told there are still 14 diplomats in Canadian High Comission in India. In december i'll have to appear for a Third Medical Examination which is frustrating. Does it really take this long?
