How did you receive the CoPR? Was a physical copy given to you when the passport was returned? Or was it through GCKey?

Congrats to the person who's October 2023 application is done and to all the ones who applied around same timeline who are getting their Passport Requests now ---pls know that you are very lucky. Now if your passport takes another 3 months to get the stamp, that's CIC just trying to comply with the Case Processing Time. So if your application sprinted in the initial and middle stages of the application, CIC will make sure that it CRAWLS in the last few stages, to make it compliant with the published case processing timelines. Yeah!

Now turning to CIC and those few CIC agents who are here to monitor the chatter.
Bucket Loads of F.U to the CIC/IRCC who has held off communication from applicants, who submitted all the way back in November 2022 to July 2023.

WTF(reak?) CiC? Are you familiar with any concept called "FiFo..first in-first out"
or....my bad..lets make it simple for you .....
Did you ever heard about a thing called "Time"??? Ever seen a watch...the two arms in a dial?...heard of 60 mins or 60 secs? Or heard the phrase...."time flies"....right?

NO Shit you mofo...it CRAWLS!!!....if you happen to be using CIC for anything...specially if you are a Canadian Citizen. From renewing Passports, to sponsoring a family member.

Instead - CIC has created its own terminologies someone was referring here to as 'complicated cases'. Whats the definition? Any file thats taken longer than the case processing time is known as...."Oh..Youv'e got Complications!"

And who caused complications? Doesn't matter if its your Case Officer gone off duty cuz of developing a serious butt-rash cuz of sitting 5 hrs daily on his chair (eating donuts and farting like a dragon) and working for 2 hrs too!...but that complication is ON YOU SIR!...Cuz YOUR file is COMPLi (etely defi) CATED!

What kind of Dumb Intelligence software Sean Fraser developed which has f....d up all of the policies of IRCC. Forgoing police certificates from Temporary Residents, while mandating it for PR applicants? And now the minister is saying - we do not rely on police certificates. OK then - Why TF(reak?) you even ask for it???? Do you know the hassle and danger it creates in some of these countries to get a police certificate?
Mr. Miller - have you ever been to countries other than North America or Europe?
No.....i c, you just want to bring some alien looking people from India to fund your educational institutions and Phillipinoes to substitute the expensive Health Care workers?

Oh well, who cares....time flies...and the moment we get our family members here, and they get their passports, everyone forgets the ordeal of going through CIC. Right? Cuz we immigrants happen to be opportunistic by nature and we usually flow in the path with lease resistance....(unless we finally hit a wall like CIC) ...And hence, CIC stays the same as it has been for decades...A slave processing center.

Seems IRCC tracker is working now. After months and months of complete pause, all of a sudden IRCC updated dozens of timelines in my tracker and background is changed to Completed. Eligibility is still shown as in-process...while GCMS confirmed its done. So who ever updated the tracker still needs to catch up.

You should see that it is updated now, there was a mass update last night.

Of those with London Visa offices, recently some cases were moved to Abu Dhabi VO including mine. Not sure if this is a good update or an indicator of going from one awful VO to another awful one. I noticed this change through my GCMS notes. Has anyone had any luck since their case moved there?

Thanks for the heads up man. Yes...they did update one line in my tracker as well...had been requesting them for address/city of destination change for weeks now...even they have confirmed it, before, but last night they updated only city of destination, not the address. incompetence or red tape?? no clue.

Hello everyone,

i have quick question regarding spousal pr. My wife is pr and will be sponsoring me.

We are planning to do Nikkah in October 2024 and Rukshati in January 2025 and file sponsorship in January with details of honeymoon and wedding events. Will there be a problem with gap of 2-3 months between nikkah and rukhsati or is it not a big deal?
Any guidance would be really helpful

Thanks

No - gap between Nikah and Rukhsati has no impact.
Whatever you do in that gap is important. Did you talk, did you take a flight to meet, did you spend money on some arrangements. Record all of that, scan receipts...make folders and organize all docs while you are doing. Later, it will be difficult and time consuming to arrange everything in order. If you / spouse are travelling out side the country together - keep record and scan of everything, even hotel bookings/receipt, airline ticket payment receipts, boarding passes etc.

And yes...Congratulations on your wedding and wish you a blissful married life ahead.

Ameen Ya Rabb....I hope insha'Allah they do clear the first half of 2023 and any earlier files asap. But since they have to keep promoting their new fast processing time, they try to process more newer ones, and few from the older batch, to keep the average at 10 months.

In our case, we learned that we are required to go through an interview 4 months ago. Till today, we are waiting just for an interview date, even though we have sent numerous webforms. Their standard response is - continue to be patient and we are doing our best to process applications quickly.

There is something wrong with the system that pushes out messages/forms/requests. An officer sets up for a medical request, an ADR or an interview, and very often it just gets stuck there for months.

Your MP wasn't able to help? I made a webform when my medical got stuck for 6 months, and I just told them its a glitch so please fix it.

"I have an interview request and its being delayed, I think theres a glitch that is stopping it from appearing"

I have explicitly asked the MP few weeks back for help in this and they seemed pretty helpless.

But pointing to a glitch might prompt them to check it further. As a pundit here once said, it might help to dislodge something stuck in the system. Damn...CIC...Even a sewage system seems to be working more logically than CIC process. CIC officers if you are reading this - please do take the offense - to make this system better.

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some insights. My application received a ghost update on October 4th, with everything marked as completed, and the COPR status was updated. However, I still haven’t received the passport request since then.

For those who’ve been in a similar situation, how long did it take for your passport request to come through after COPR was reflected? Any experiences or advice would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!
