PR application was submitted successfully on August 02, 2024 (received email confirming this). It has been 9 weeks and we are still awaiting the AOR. The application is not reflected in the GC Key. VO will be Mexico as applicant is from the Dominican Republic. Just looking for some advice. How long would you wait before contacting IRCC and/or MP?

You have to link your PR application on gckey in order for it to show up. The AOR usually comes to sponsor's email. They haven't received anything?

I am the sponsor and I have not received anything yet (even checked spam). PR applicant also applied for CR at the same time so not sure if IRCC is waiting for that process to be done first. However, it states in the guide IMM 5289 that sponsor eligibility and first assessment of the permanent resident application will be done and the rest will be done after the CR decision. So not sure how long to wait before contacting someone.

"The person can apply for rehabilitation either:

  • before you submit the sponsorship application, or
  • by submitting the rehabilitation application with your application for sponsorship. If you choose this option, we’ll assess your eligibility as a sponsor and do the first assessment of the permanent resident application. However, we’ll only assess the sponsored person’s admissibility after they get a decision about their rehabilitation application."

I think 90 days is a reasonable rule of thumb for maximum time for AOR. That doesn't mean you can't call or inquire of MP before, though.
That was what I was thinking as well, 90 days. I did some research and saw that the Mexico VO is slower than others and on average it takes about 2 months for AOR. Just so frustrating seeing some applications whiz through the process and we are sitting here in radio silence.
