Hi All,

Application submitted: 07/20/24 - In-Canada class.
AOR: 08/15/2024
Medicals Passed: 08/30/2024
BIL: 09/18/2024

I have a question: We received the Biometrics request today, however it indicated the applicant's Indian address although we applied under In-Canada class and submitted all required documents required for In-Canada class. I have booked Biometrics appointment tomorrow. Is there anything I need to worry about? Did anyone face this situation?

What should I do in this case?
you might want to call IRCC or send a webform about it

Got BIL for PR on Sept. 18
Appointment on Sept. 19 and results uploaded instantly in GC Key.

We had just taken Biometrics for OWP on Aug. 26 but they requested it anyway even though Biometrics number was in GC Key.

Full timeline in signature.

I read from somewhere that biometric and medical for other applications (work, visitor) are different from PR application.

Biometrics for OWP is considered temporary. That is why you have to go for Biometrics for permanent residency again. All good news though

True for biometrics but previous medicals are valid under certain conditions under a public policy until October 6th. If you have a previous medical and you didn't include the info on your application, you should submit a web form ASAP so it can be considered before Oct 6.

Here is the info so you can determine if your previous medical is eligible for the temporary public policy: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/medical-exams/requirements-temporary-residents.html

Thank you for sharing that. I did an IME in 2021 for my SP and it was not linked to this application, even though I benefited from that policy not needing to submit it for my last two applications (Ext SP + WP). I just sent a webform to update it. Hopefully I won't need to do new medical exam, it would be nice to save that $300.

Still waiting for an AOR.
AOR issued on August 23, but I only received it September 23 via mail letter.

It took 1 month to get here from Mississauga to Midtown Toronto.

it will come. Some got AIP a month ago. So all depends on the visa officer. I have stopped checking. Set a notification for a email and decided not to think about it. At this point, I want the AIP and the work permit so that we get the health card and to work. Lets see

Let me know. I highly doubt this will work, but no harm trying. Keep us posted and thanks for this info

Not sure where you are. If you are in Ontario, you can get OHIP from AIP. I know a friend in BC who could get a health card when she applied for PR and got AOR. You might want to check here and call: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/health/health-drug-coverage/msp/bc-residents/eligibility-and-enrolment/are-you-eligible https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/health/about-bc-s-health-care-system/partners/health-insurance-bc

Which province are you living in? Healthcare is provincial and each province has its own requirement. e.g. ON is different from BC, AB etc.
