Canada visitor visa application : Biometric status not updated in IRCC portal.

Hello friends,

We applied for Canada visitor visa from the US.Two days ago, we gave our biometrics in a USCIS ASC location.My spouse's details immediately got reflected in the IRCC portal and it says biometric completed for her.However there are no such updates yet in my profile in IRCC portal.All these fields are showing blank for me while they are populated for my spouse.

  • Date of biometrics enrolment:
  • Expiry date:
Just got perplexed on why system behaved differently for two biometrics done at same time in the same location.Is this normal ? Any specific action required from my side to ensure the biometrics are in place ,before the 30 days deadline ,which is fast approaching?

I queried the biometric validity using the link https://onlineservices-servicesenligne.cic.gc.ca/extapp/bioStatusQuery and I could see my details there.

Please guide if anyone experienced this scenario with the applications? Appreciate any inputs. Thank you!

I have same issue with one of my family member application. Mom, Dad biometrics shows done but Brother's biometrics number is not showing still in ircc visitor visa application portal

Hello! It’s not uncommon for there to be a slight delay in the IRCC portal updating biometrics information, even when biometrics are completed at the same time. Since you were able to query your biometric validity and see your details there, it’s a good sign that your information has been successfully recorded. You may want to wait a few more days for the system to update, but if it doesn’t reflect in the portal soon, consider reaching out to IRCC directly to ensure everything is in order before your 30-day deadline. Keep an eye on your profile, but it seems like there’s no immediate cause for concern!

In a choice between whether this post was created by a bot, or an idiot, I'm going to guess a bot - because completely useless to provide this advice to someone who reported having the issue resolved already.

Tough call, though. Could be an idiot.
