Hello all,

I had a study visa and permit but could not extend them to be PGWP because I did not graduate and had been out of status for 1.5 years. Early into my out of status phase, I got into relationship with my current partner. My intention was just having fun while in Canada before go back home country but our relationship got more serious than that and I would like to be with him for long time now. I just left Canada to my home country voluntarily, without no deportation order, my partner came visit home country with me.

I told him my status and he came back to Canada and would like to sponsor me to Canada. How can we go about this? What are the chance that we success ?

Other method, what are the chance that I obtain a work/business visa by myself and come back to Canada.

Thank you for all your advices.

Get married or live together as common law for one year continiously. Then he can sponsor you.
I'd just add: you can expect that your application will get some additional scrutiny because out of status for a while (overstay). But most important is, the overstay alone will NOT prohibit you from getting sponsored - as long as you declare and disclose to IRCC the overstay. If you try and hide it, it will cause problems.

Thank you. I just read some more information and would need to confirm if I ever departure or deportation or removal order:
"Departure orders automatically turn into deportation orders if you don't leave. Yours definitely crossed into deportation. You need an ARC to return." Do I need to apply for ARC ?

I don't understand. Did you actually get a departure order?
