Do Govt organisations help with LMIA-exempt T13 work permit extension

Good day,

For PNP candidates who got nominations based on employer support, do government organisations in Canada help with Employer portal and payment of 230$ for LMIA-exempt work permit support ?
eHealth, Saskengery, Saskpower, Government of Saskachewan, Saskachewan Health Authority etc etc....ontorio health etc

Same question for other provinces....... I do know that banks dont help either with nomination or work extension.

Please share your experience...One admin guy in the govt sector said they dont do but I need to be double sure. Any info will be appreciated.

What you mean help you? You have to apply for your work permit by help of your employer paying all fees and compliance fees which is $230 . Nobody is going to help you regarding this unless you hire someone like paid representative.

What PNP program have you been nominated for? Job offer or not. Government agencies will not support a job offer stream.

So that is an issue with your employer. No one can help you with tha. You have to ask them to file for exemption through IRCC Employer Portal, so you get LMIA exemption number to apply for work permit.

What do you mean by ”help”? The employer pays and files or they don’t. It is the employer’s choice. If they don’t want to pay the fee and file that is their decision and are not forced to. They are under no obligation to do so.

This is specific to SINP, not other provinces because each PNP has different requirements. Your employer is under no obligation to file and all you can do is outline the process to them to make them understand that when your permit expires, you can no longer work for them.

They will certainly be aware of the process if they are the government. The PNP programs have been around for many years now and are not new. The question is not whether HR is aware or not. The question is whether HR policies allow them to support the process. I think you will need to ask them directly. Good luck.
