I just checked and today it actually says my background is in progress (yesterday it said the background check was not started).

You can call to the FGR and asked for an status. they just need your full name.
I usually call IRCC 1 888 242 2100, it will give you your complete status before letting you ask for an agent, if you get a message that says "we are unaable to transfer your call", call again immediatly, do the process again and this time it will connect to the agent.

Same thing I send it on may no update from embassy just aor on june they have my pc since August after i contacted the FGR and nothing happend emailed the embassy no response ircc can't do much over the phone they dont have access to the files in mexico only embassy knows i tried

But then the Embassy doesn't provide you with a phone number for immigration cases like ours.

When was your ITA and when did you submit your application?

I feel that they process non-PNP applications faster or very old ITAs first, I don't know.

I have seen 2 cases where 2 guys with ITAs from January 2024 just got approved last week,

They are EXTREMELY slow, it's just unbelieveable, and then no status updates.

Am in different steam family sponsership since Nov send my doc on 12 of may deliverd after two days got aor after a month called fgr on 17th of july the said they already send the Pc then nothing after that i contact the embassy two times no response ircc over the phone i called they dont have access to files processing in mexico that what they said you are right its realy hard to predict and the processes is not clear at all

Basically you just have to find a way to contact the embassy and wait nothing we can do unfortunately

But, how can you contact them? When you call the automated voice service tells you all sorts of options, but one for immigration cases.

Then on the PCC AOR email they say they don't provide updates.

Only option is emailing them they are referring to update regarding pcc but they provide you for an update when they upload it to the system so you just have to sent an email asking if its uploaded or not since it pass the processing time

I was able to contact the FGR and they told me my PCC was sent back to the Embassy on July 24th. So at least I can breathe now, haha.

Embassy received my fingerprints and photos on April 26th, so around 4.5 months ago.

Honestly, I think the problem is just the huge amount of people applying for PR, it’s not just people from Mexico. Let’s just wait and be positive.

Updating my timeline

I got P2 on Monday.

My timeline so far:
AOR: January 27 2024
BIL and PCC request: April 10 2024
Sent documents to embassy: May 22 2024
AOR from the embassy: May 22 2024
P1: August 8 2024, replied same day
P2: August 26 2024 and replied same day

Now waiting for the eCoPR to celebrate

Final update! I got my ECOPR today!

Timeline:

• Dec 8, 2023 - ITA
• Jan 27, 2024 - AOR
• Apr 10, 2024 - (From Sydney) BIL and PCC requests from Mexico which require some additional steps:
  • Apr 16, 2024 - Documents delivered at the Embassy
  • May 16, 2024 - Emailed the Embassy for AOR
  • May 22, 2024 - Got AOR
  • Jun 7, 2024 - Submitted a web form asking for an extension of the PCC request
  • Aug 8, 2024 - Emailed the Embassy for an update
  • Aug 9, 2024 - Confirmation PCC were uploaded to the application
• Apr 11, 2024 - Ghost update - Passed medical exam (Uploaded upfront)
• Apr 29, 2024 - Biometrics collected
• Aug 6, 2024 - Ghost update - Final decision
• Aug 8, 2024 - P1 replied the same day (From Montreal)
• Aug 26, 2024 - P2 replied the same day.
• Sep 18, 2024 - Got eCOPR . mention I became PR in Montreal

After radio silence since May 8th and checking my tracker everyday I just noticed an update in my tracker today:

They added:
