If you got portal 1 then you've crossed the finish line. They generally can't cancel your application now, even if you've lost your job. I'm pretty sure you'll get eCOPR soon and anything SINP sends you won't matter because you'll be a permanent resident.

Hi there,

Thank you for the information above. I'm in a similar situation but my lay off will be temporary with a return date. We must communicate PNP (my case is BC PNP) of any employment changes as soon as they happen. If I eventually get laid off and communicate BC PNP will they ask me to find a new employer even though I have a return date? What are your thoughts?

I'm currently waiting for AOR.

Hard to say it may depend on the reason for the layoff and the likelihood of actually being rehired.
Yeah, it’s a complicated situation. Thank you for your feedback.

The reason for lay off is shortage of work (construction company) and the return date is confirmed with the scheduled jobs booked and construction permits.
