Hi @Miss bee,

I submitted my PR application through the Non-Express Entry BCPNP International Graduate Stream on July 18th.
My PGWP will expire on October 26th, and I’m worried about not receiving my AOR and file number from IRCC before then, as I need the file number to apply for the BOWP.

Do you have any advice?

Thank you very much.
If you don’t get AOR before that , you can apply for Closed work permit. Your employer have to submit job offer in employer portal and pay $230 compliance fee. Then you have to put that job offer in work permit application and attach WPSL , nomination certificate and all other requirements.

Hi, I have completed my PR application in non express entry on Aug month. If I need to travel to my native country(India) due to some medical urgency (1-2 weeks), would it impact my PR application? My question is, would IRCC officer asks for PCC again due to this travel or would it impact PR in any way?

No , if you don’t stay in India 180 days or 6 Months in a row , they will not ask PCC .

Hey Miss bee,

I know you`re super busy, Can you help in the post I did before (page 900) ;) Your opinion about my case is super valid! I now know that my case was sitting in CBSA for one year, by what the agent told me, there was no action ( they forgot to process the case I believe). I will update you guys, that may help whoever is in the same situation.

I am going to restore my status as a visitor after my WP expired. Can I still apply for BOWP once I recieve AOR with my expired work permit?

To be eligible for a BOWP, you must

  • live in Canada (and intend to live outside Quebec) at the time you apply for your BOWP
    • You can leave Canada while we process your application.
    • However, if you leave Canada after your work permit expires, you can’t work until your new application is approved.
  • either
  • be the principal applicant on your permanent residence application
  • have no employment restrictions as a condition of your nomination

You should get a new Job letter from your current employer mentioning your job duties and pay and all other stuff and signed by him . They are working on your eligibility section of application. You should get letter current dated .

Hi Miss Bee, So it is impossible to apply for a BOWP if my nomination has employer restriction? In that case, what would be the option until I get the PR? I'm currently waiting for AOR. I applied on May 28, and my work permit expires in November 2025. I'm worried this is not enough time. Thank you for your comments.

Final decision
Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Not to mention the year-long BCPNP nomination process for my wife, who is the primary applicant. The issue we’re facing is that we're stuck in the background check stage. My wife has cleared hers, but mine has been under review by CBSA since November 16 2023. Despite filing notes and my history as a Police Officer in Brazil being clean, there’s been no progress. All our previous visa applications were approved without issues, yet our PR application is now stalled. CBSA requested an additional 60 days and has since stopped responding, update: they responded after 63 days asking for my wife's Driver licensee to process our request..m Our process has already taken 1 year and 7 months. I have a few questions and concerns:

1. Is there anything we can do to expedite or resolve this situation?

2. My wife’s employer, who is supporting her PR application, is facing financial difficulties, making it hard for her to keep her job. While it’s understandable to require employment during the typical 6-12 month processing time, expecting immigrants to stay employed indefinitely (years) is unreasonable. We fear that even though everything else in our profile is approved, if she loses her job due to prolonged delays, we might lose our PR. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You have enough time . Processing time is 12 months now .
