Hello everyone,

My husband (principal applicant) and I (sponsor) are currently filling out his IMM5406 document for the Family class Spouse Sponsorship Application. My husband is estranged from his father, and he has two step-siblings, both with whixh he has no contact. He does not know their adresses, nor their date of birth, etc. Besides, his step-siblings legally changed their family names, hence legally they're not tied to him in any way other than sharing the same father. Does he still need to add them to the document, and if yes, how so since we don't have any information on them at all. Will omitting them cause problems? What's the best way to go about this?.

Add the information you have to the form. Attach a short letter of explanation that they are estranged and you do not have much information about them. Provide what you can about them.

It'll be okay, yhou're not the first applicant whose family has been estranged and gone through things.
