How did you land as a PR with a TRV?

Your spouse would have needed to be added to your PR application. You don't simply add their name at the last minute.

here is my understanding, OP was in Canada on TRV when applied for PR. They travelled in June for wedding and during that time, they received email from IRCC asking whether they are in Canada or not. OP replied that they are out of Canada, IRCC halted the process. OP came back to Canada on 31st July (not landed as PR as such), replied to IRCC informing that they are now in Canada. They also informed that they are now married. IRCC still went ahead and issued eCoPR as is case with inland candidates. The confusion, which I too had earlier, is that they did not LAND as PR in Canada, they just returned to Canada on TRV. To me, OP did right thing and can hope to receive reply from IRCC on their intimation about family composition change. Your thoughts ? @scylla - yours as well.

I'm not confident on that. I recommend speaking to a lawyer in an earlier post. What I would have done in this situation is first notified IRCC I was married and waited for this to be acknowledged and the additional forms to be requested before telling IRCC I was back in Canada to trigger the eCOPR and landing process.

Yes I know I made a mistake by not doing this. Now I'll have to speak to a lawyer. I hope I'll be able to sponsor my spouse or I'll have to leave this country. I can't stay without her.

Then why was the word `Landed' used in such context? It's beyond confusing.

Hopefully the OP will find a qualified lawyer to see if they can [somehow] sponsor their spouse.

Yes. This is the standard process now for inland economic immigration applications.

Yes, (virtual) landing was after marriage. Yes OP informed about change in martial status before yesterday, however the point at which OP informed is subject to a debate. here is what I have knowledge about "inland" candidates.

Step 1. IRCC sends out email asking them if they are in Canada. If the reply is yes, IRCC moves to step 2. If no, IRCC holds on to the process, the candidates needs to inform IRCC once they are back in Canada for IRCC to proceed to step 2.

Step 2. IRCC sends outs username/password for the portal and asks candidates to upload a valid Canadian address and photo.

Step 3. IRCC sends eCoPR (pdf version of CoPR, no hard copy is sent out. this is kind of virtual landing)

Part of [my] problem is that when I landed the eCOPR option had not yet been created. Inland applicants had to attend an in-person interview, with their sponsor, before being handed their PR documents.

True, as I recall, this eCoPR concept started as a measure for CoVID 19 situation. The in person interviews no longer hold

I suspect that this is also because the old Condition 51 was repealed several years ago. That's likely why, in part, sponsors had to attend the landing interviews with the new PR.
