Thanks, I understand that you have a frustrated lawyer career and you are on a forum trying to show that you know anything, but trying to correct a non native speaker while escape for given me a useful answer says a lot of your sad situation. Sorry for that GENIUS.
Grow up, kid.

Find a job, leave the forums and seek professional help, it will help you. Greetings!
If you feel we offer no value, please go elsewhere. This isn't toxic Reddit or X, we offer help, but at the same time we refuse helping individuals who are disrespectful and have no civic sense. You should be grateful for all the help you received so far. If you can't act like a grown up, respectfully leave and rant elsewhere. The same people you so easily called "computer rats" literally were helping you save thousands of dollars, see the thread here: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/change-status-to-visitor.852534/

^That's why my remark that you should grow up. So few people genuinely help anyone else in this world, it isn't good to abuse them.

Do not include the other members, who have been respectful all along. It was you who laughed that I used girlfriend and not common-law. On that basis of disrespect I can't take your words seriously. Think twice before disrespecting people who are only looking for help.
Who are you even responding to? Where in this thread did I or anyone responded with laughing emoji? Here's the comment: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/implied-status-recent-refusals.853056/post-10891414

These discussions are fatiguing.

I think the person who asked about girlfriend vs common law was trying to help and was not laughing at you. The way I read their post, they wanted to make sure you were in fact common law (had lived together for one year continuously at the same address) and therefore qualified to apply for a SOWP based on your partner's status in Canada. Terms like girlfriend and boyfriend mean you are dating but this doesn't necessarily mean you are common law. It's an important distinction for Canadian immigration purposes. So I think this was in fact a serious confirming question and not meant as a joke.

Based on your response, you are in fact common law so you are good to go.

Good luck with your application.
