Hello everyone,

In regards to Parents application. do we expect there would be no test invite since they are both above 65 ? and its been exactly 2 months and no updates so far,

tracker just shows everything is "In progress" except citizenship test and ceremony "not started"

@hssrp As I already mentioned all my stages are complete except for background and Prohibition. Do you have any idea if prohibition has to do with fingerprints as post my interview it is supposed to mark prohibition as well complete
Prohibitions is not directly linked to FP. However, some officers hold it until the BG is completed, which is linked to FP. So, once your FP is received (4-5 weeks from when you gave them), your BG will be marked as completed the next day and hopefully Prohibitions also will be marked completed the same day as BG. Do you know if your security is completed? If not, it can delay all these.

Yes, they will not be invited to the test as they are exempt from Language and test requirements. Another May applicant in a similar situation having AOR around 10 days before you got the Oath scheduled today so you might see some progress in the next 2-3 weeks.

How can I track that?

FP, you can track by calling RCMP to get the update on the date they mailed it to RCMP. IRCC will then take around 2 weeks to receive it and update it in the tracker.
To track Security, you can call IRCC and ask if your security is completed already.

Please update the spreadsheet.
Got the test invite on 2 Aug 2024. Test given on 11 Aug 2024. Tracker yet to be updated.
Background already marked completed.
What to expect next and when?

Added your details to the spreadsheet. Did you submit the application from Vancouver?

Your local case processing centre will be known when you get the test invite as the AORs are sent from centralized CPC Sydney for everyone and then transferred to local processing offices.

Usually the test invites are sent 2-3 weeks from BG completed date so you should be getting them shortly. After you get the test invite and attempt the test, the officer takes between 2-10 business days to mark the test as completed in the tracker. After that the LPP takes anywhere between 2 weeks to 2 months depending upon the office and officer. FYI, Vancouver office is generally slow for most activities.
You were right. I received my test invite almost 3.5 weeks after the BG was marked complete in the tracker. Just completed the test today, 11 Aug 2024.
I haven't received any request for FP though. Is everyone asked for FP?
What do I expect next?

No not everyone is asked for FP. Since your BG is already completed you will not be asked for FP (except in very rare exceptional cases when the file is pending for a long time), so you can safely forget about FP.

Since you gave the test today, the officer takes between 2-10 business days to mark the test as completed in the tracker. After that the LPP takes anywhere between 2 weeks to 2 months depending upon the office and officer. FYI, Vancouver office is generally slow for most activities.

I called RCMP today and they have confirmed that they have sent the FP details to IRCC on 27th July so hopefully I may expect soon as its hard to track down IRCC agents on phone.
