That’s a good question. I don’t know. But I also had to do this (though I was still employed unlike you)
Another piece of information regarding my case is that because my PGWP expired I had to change my status to visitor. I can’t even be hired by any company because I am no longer authorized to work in Canada. That’s what makes my situation even worse I think.

A friend of mine told me that they say we need to hold a job at the moment of the application however until they finalize it our application is still being processed meaning I would have to have a job throughout the entire time, until final decision. It does make sense to me, unfortunately.
Where is that written tho? I spoke to a lawyer 1 month ago and they didn’t mention any of this. It doesn’t make sense :(

also, why are they asking for revenue Quebec 2023? And the official French test? Didn't you provide those when applying? (You applied in January, didn't you?)

try to explain your situation in a letter maybe, because again, holding a job until they process your request isn't written anywhere!!

good luck and let us know how it goes!!

For sure you couldn't provide revenue Quebec 2023 if you applied in January - well, if you worked in 2023 (since you applied in January 2024) you should be able to provide those documents (taxes and French test!), then explain in a letter that you no longer hold a job (attach your visitor visa). I wish you to succeed even because... I'm kinda in the same situation... (even tho they haven't asked me for anything yet)

Hello everyone, I'm curious to know if those who submitted their applications in December 2023 have received their final decisions yet.
Applied 8th Dec23. Test valeur quebecuas middle Jan 24. Avis de verification 12 May. No news up to date after that

Nope, applied December 1st 2023, Avis de verification May 16, nothing since. Have contacted local MNA who has sent a letter to the Quebec minister of immigration for details on why it is has exceeded normal processing time.

Hi, thanks so much for your reply.
I spoke to my lawyer and indeed the fact that I no longer hold a job in Quebec plus the fact that I no longer hold a valid work permit, meaning I can’t even get a new job, is problematic.
In fact that’s not written anywhere, however that’s how the agents are handling their cases and unemployed applicants are having their applications denied.
When it comes to immigration not every little detail is written and rules are implicitly defined.

My only chance (not guaranteed) is to find a company that’s willing to provide me with a document saying that whenever I have the proper documentation they will hire me.

Hi, yes we did but they refused to provide their office with any information despite filing a consent form. They said it will take more time but would not say what was causing the delay.

There are so many people from april and may getting their csq and here we are. Still waiting and this is worrying me a lot because they might arrive at the number they set for immigration each year
