Passport seva kendra portal account (new user registration) - is it mandatory to keep the name as per Indian passport?

Hello,

While creating the portal account (new user registration), on the registration form, is it mandatory to keep the name as per Indian passport? During account creation, I just used the First Name and Last Name.


But I submitted the surrender certificate application with my name exactly as Indian passport (First Name + Middle Name + Last Name) and rest all details are filled correctly. Will this affect the application?

Cant say for sure, but the BLS people asked me to re-fill the form with the name as exactly appearing on the old passport when I was applying for passport renewal. I did the same as you. Filled in only name + surname and skipped the middle name. If you havent already submitted your application yet you can create another one with the correct name to save you some time and money.

Well, In my case I submitted the application form with 100% correct details as per passport. I had a doubt about the Name + Surname used while creating login profile for the first time (Not the actual application form which we submit)

Login profile does not affect your application.
