Could it because the country has been flooded by immigrants ?
Just a wild guess
Correction - country has been flooded with "unqualified" immigrants. It's sad. I have a master's degree in STEM from USA and I was not able to find a job in Canada. What to say of the thousands of Indian students who get admission in scam colleges like Humber/Seneca and come here by collateralling their family's onlhy cash cow - agricultural land? Canadian govt should put the education consultants behing bars. They're the only one's benefitting from this expolitation. Native canadians and immigrants both end up suffering.

Many of the consultants are in India not in Canada.

Yes but they're definitely enabled and encouraged by the Canadian governments policies. For example - allowing international students to work 40 hours a week outside campus. That's ridiculous. It's they're deliberately creating legal loopholes to be exploited. When I was an international graduate student in the US, I was allowed to work no more than 20 hours per week and only on campus, so international students never took away local blue collar jobs like in Canada

Yes, a combination of things, including federal policies.

I'd also draw attention to the provincial governments: they allowed the colleges in particular to just go wild in beefing up international students, with a lot of dubious programs. The difference can be seen with some provinces and colleges/areas having gone crazier than others. You can also tell they believe/know it's short term gold rush behaviour because they didn't think about or even plan to build housing at all.

In Ontario, universities and colleges (or at least people in/close to them) also draw attention to the tuition freeze for domestic students that was brought in by current government. Effectively forced them to go to international students to help cover rising costs, but those programs have costs on their own. The universities have been hurt but haven't gone as nuts as the colleges. Some grew their enrollment by just outrageous amounts in only a few years.

For colleges in Ontario - and some of the programs they adopted in cooperation with some private sector players - you can see it in the political donations.

The feds issued the visas. But the provinces - some of them anyway - were absolutely CLAMORING for more more moar visas. The line to corruption at the provincial level is pretty damn clear.

Yep. I just think Canada has gone far too left. I'm not a rightwing nut but it's just so apparent what happens to a country when the politics swings far left or far right. Both are disastrous. US on the other hand has both red and blue states that balance eachother out.

I think it is not so simple, and misidentifying to say 'left.' (Giving all foreign students the right to work 40 or more hours a week is hardly a 'left' position, IMO anyway).

Seven of ten premiers and provincial governments are clearly of the 'right' - six are PC or conservative-affiliated parties. Okay, QC may be different in a qualitative way. (Likewise I can't figure out BC politics).

That is in significant ways more 'balance' than the red/blue split. to say Canada is far left is ridiculous.

Yes technically unofficially but if you account for population growth. Economy wasn’t that strong in 2019 either but better than now.
Thank you for response. So my feeling is right, things have worsened since then, i know some people with great connections having great positions and other people with no connections having accepted food delivery job after 30 and master degree. sad. it also happened to me but i hope that even if the chance are close to 1% i want to try to find from abroad a great job and pass a canadian degree to show the ircc that i did effort. You think it 's correct strategy ?

What makes you think that a CBSA officer at a PoE would be `more lenient'? A valid PR Card is required for the vast majority of Permanent Residents, because it is required by the commercial carrier (i.e. airline). It is NOT required by CBSA...even at an airport.
Many thanks ! i'm stupefied. So you mean that i can enter the border with an expired PR card without any trouble (if any immigration agent)? (please which border? ontario, qc?) Please i'm thrilled by this news.

That's just my opinion and we can agree to disagree . BTW, macleans which leans moderate liberal, also shares my opinion, as do many right wing think tanks - https://macleans.ca/opinion/canada-has-shifted-to-the-left/

Many thanks: we share the same sad story. i have two masters applied stat and management => got unemployed. I was not proud and felt i was i kinda loser; i decided to go back to grab cash and stop losing. But what i did wrong, is that initially i refused to pass a local degree to say "hey, i'm like a local, you can do an offer". now that's what i'm doing (too late of course because it took me 18 months of preparation). This is why my friends all you advice and explanation are precious.

My friend i think it's perhaps true for the price of rent as in 2019 i could find a bachelor for 800 not nothing less 1200. But students turn to look for RP and then it's true that they compete with us: but i would say, they have to right, at least i think.

I think canada is center in average. Left for taxes, right for jobs. Only my view...
