Hi all, just a question. I recently submitted my Quebec spouse visa application forms to MIFI (2 weeks ago almost) and want to apply for an OWP while we're waiting for things to be progress. I'm not sure whether this should be done via the IRCC website or Quebec.. it's really unclear to be honest. Can someone post a link to the starting point for OWP applications. I'd be living in Quebec with husband (I'm an outside applicant). Many thanks.
Not sure if it's the same for outland, but for inland applications:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/family-sponsorship/spouse-partner-children/spouse-common-law-partner-canada-open-work-permit.html

I guess as outland you first need to get a valid temporary resident status

My wife received P2 email today and she will submit her PR photo today. Hopefully she receives her eCOPR soon after, tried finding timelines for P2 to eCOPR but nothing I saw was for family class.
Absolutely no reliable timeline for that. BTW to get eCOPR the photo is not needed. We submitted the photo like a week after getting P2. But making the certification part got us eCOPR the same day.

Okay thank you, I had wondered if that was the case. I have been wondering if we could flagpole to get COPR rather than waiting. My wife is approaching the deadline to get the financial assistance from her francisation course and this is her fourth one so it would be nice for her to get that.

eCOPR June 2024.

Aside from waiting for PR card, that's a wrap.

Best of luck to all those waiting.

Hello everyone, I received a copr and passport request today, so everything is completed. However, the letter mentions a payment called permanent residence right fee (RPRF), I don't understand what this means.

Quick update. So we made it to Canada and the processing of her Permanent Residency took all of 10 minutes. Getting everything we are bringing across verified was a whole other matter. But She's now officially a Canadian resident

When you applied, did you pay for the application and the permanent residency fee? Sounds like you only paid the application fee

All payments were made at the time of application, if I remember correctly, the figure was 1650 dollars, also for Quebec.

Except for the shipping fee requested for VfsGlobal, all payments are ok, I don't understand, will I pay extra?

I'm not doubting you paid everything. But the permanent residence right fee (RPRF) is specifically to pay for the permanent residency. What does the wording saying? When we got her letter it says to pay the fee if we hadn't already paid the fee. it was generic and not specific to our case. that may be the case for you as well.
