hello guys my aunt applied visitor visa on may 20 her son whz pr got in car accident and in very critical condition we provided hospital letters and she previously had 2 vistor visas and been in canada multiple times and today we got letter of refusal on june14
1-i am not satisfied you will leave canada
2- The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application

can anyone help us why would they refuse it she never overstayed any of her stay . is it computer doing automatic refusals or it can be someother reason and what we can do now her son is in icu

You asked the same question a few weeks ago. The application is new and were given answers. How long was visit? What was said in doctor’s notes? What did she show that she will return? The issue may be is the care he needs and who will care for him. If he is in critical condition then what type of care will he need when he comes home?

Having a previous visa and not overstaying doesn’t guarantee a permit. Think the issue is with the documentation provided.

If you think it is just a money game (application costs only $100 and it costs the goverment way more to process), hire a lawyer to help with reapplying.

I am sorry for their situation but I don’t know what those medical notes say. If it says he needs care then that is an issue for IRCC. IRCC is concerned she will stay. That is why I suggested to get a plan in place for his care to show that when she comes she is just coming for support.

It's understandable from IRCC's perspective.

The purpose is definitely not consistent. You shouldn't have mentioned the accident and the hospitalization. It looks like she is going to take care of his son and that is exact inconsistency with a visitor visa purpose of visit.

i reapplied exact same application with not a single new document and visa approved in 2 weeks told you its just money game they deny lot more applications with automated ai system without even looking at applications and when you apply again then they look into your application and you know when you fill applications they ask you purpose of visit and there is one option which says ( going to visit a family memer who's critical ill to provide him care ) so as a family member there is nothing wrong to provide care for your loved ones i dont know why you think its issue if she provides care to her son she will stay longer thts not issue and that what i wrote in explanation letter that he needs care at his home as he cant do daily activities by himself

buddy just to let u know there no inconsistency in providing care to your loved ones when you apply visitor visa they ask purpose of visit and there are lot of option in which there is 1 option that says ( to visit a family family member whoz criticaly ill to provide him care ) so there no inconsistency if you want to provide care to family member what does has to do with visa obviously you can only provide care till your visa expires and just to let you know i applied again same application exact same documents and wrote in explanation letter that she going to provide care for his critically injured son and they approved it there's nothing wrong to provide care for your family aand they approved visa in 14 days

Don't you have punctuation in your country? Has it become illegal to use?

Hate to break it to you but the small application fees don’t come close to meeting the actual cost of processing. Due to the volume of application last think IRCC wants is more applications.

The MP offices are probably overwhelmed with immigration inquiries. In all reality, the MP can't do anything to influence the decision but only request status. Since they have limited resources too, don't be surprised if they don't respond for days if not months.

Local MP has no say in the matter

Government department I used to work at would get a bit ticked off if an MP attempted to get involved in the decision making process .

Don’t know what countries people are from . But MP are expected to stay in their lane.

Decisions aren’t based upon who you know
I used to get offered “ gifts “ in a prior decision making position I had .
They were ALWAYS refused .
Decisions I had to make were based upon the facts on hand , not on what I could personally gain

Yep. It's very clearly laid out in the Conflict of Interest Act and any MP trying to influence IRCC would be in clear violation. They do have the ability to request the status but that's about it. They can bring it up in the house if they think the matter is a concern for several of their constituents.
I think this is a cultural thing(no offense intended). In countries like India, govt officials including elected officials engage in such practices and a lot of people on this forum maybe naive to think that's how it works everywhere.

Also, the recent foreign meddling allegations would very likely make any responsible MP tread carefully anyways.

Exactly. I said something like this in another thread that MPs shouldn't get involved in visitor visa's situations because visitors are not residents and everyone started attacking me! This is Canada people, if I see my MP get involved in visitor visas, I won't vote for them next time. If my family and friends apply to visit Canada, it should be based on their own eligibility and it should be a fair process for everyone.

It's sad how people get offended so easily these days and don't care or want to understand why.

Temporary Residence in Canada (or any foreign country for that fact) is a PRIVILEGE and not a RIGHT.
