Looking for a Civil Lawyer to sue IRCC

Hello,

I'm looking for a Civil Lawyer to sue the IRCC for negligence in regards to my PR application and constant lying about the estimated time line for a decision on the phone (I have recorded my phone calls with them). I'm not interested in an immigration lawyer to sue for a mandamus, as that is already in progress and it's not going anywhere due to the federal court being drowned in immigration litigations, and it's taking 6+ months just for the judge to review the case, I'm looking for a Civil Lawyer to sue for damages.

If you know anyone who's willing to listen to my case in more details, then kindly refer them.

Lets see what you would do if they kept telling you to wait for only a "couple of months" for 13 months, and then at the end when you reached 28 months of processing, they tell you to keep waiting for double the estimated time they provided you at the beginning.

If you don't have any useful information, shut it up. No one is forcing you to comment "Foodie69"

Hi,
Just to inform you on their website processing time if you are in Quebec 39 if you are outside of the Quebec 24 months. I believe it’s just estimate also. I mean they don’t promise you to finalize your application in this timeframe.

This is recent, they only made this change 2 weeks ago. If they have a blockage caused by Quebec they should have just told me, instead they said nothing of Quebec even when I asked about it, and said just wait for 2 more months. They have been driving me insane with their lies and low-effort generic template copy-paste responses.

I guarantee you even when some applicants pass the 39 months, they will say "just keep waiting", as Quebec already have published their 2025 targets, and it's as low as 2024 and 2023.

I waited 33 months to get my PR, no complaining, no need to involve lawyers, no crybaby business. Just getting on with life, patiently waiting.

I don't have a recommendation for a lawyer however I do think your case is likely against the Quebec provincial government vs IRCC (or maybe both). It's public knowledge the Quebec government have put a cap on PR visas being issued and this is resulting in substantially longer processing times for Quebec applicants. I personally think this is unacceptable and hope voters consider this during the next election. In the family sponsorship section of the forum, there are a number of people who have literally moved to a different province because of this issue. It's not good and it's only the Quebec provincial government who has done this. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Unfortunately, there's not much recourse you have here. IRCC is a fairly protected agency given the nature of work they do. Mandamus is your best option and everything else seems like a waste of time and money, not to mention it will only increase your frustration.

Yeah, I'm sure immigration has nothing better to do with their time than phone every applicant with a personalized update....that'll improve processing time, I'm sure.

ir is it just your application that needs special attention?
