Hi,

I have re-applied on 14 July 2024 where before i got refusal on 08 Jun 2024. I didn't provide any biotmetrics, but i use now detail plan in my explanation letter with maps and spending amount. and I found processing time was shown before Saudi Arabia was 47 days but now showing 50 days.

But my question is, as family ties i just added Marriage registation certificate and my child birth certificate instead of one form Family registration certificate (Which i requested and received it today) so please advice is it can be affected anything on my application?

Hello!
I would appreciate your help.

I'm in Canada. My tourist visa expires on July 22nd, and my passport also expires on the same day as visa.
But I have another valid passport (travel document) and I applied for visa extension.

Can I stay in Canada after July 22?

Thank you a lot!

Processing time for USA is currently 41 days. You should at least wait till end of July to hear back from IRCC about your visa decision.

If we hear about Visa decision in July-end and then send the passport, how much time it takes in the US to receive the stamped passport?
Also, is 41 days counted from the day Biometrics was collected or from the day of submission of the application (which is 16th June in my case)?

Not sure how long it will take to receive your stamped passport. Probably 10- 14 days if you have to send it to another city.

This is what IRCC says for processing times and it doesn't mean yours will take 41 days to process. This is just an average, yours might take longer or shorter amount of time based on different factors.

This processing time tells you how long it took us to process most complete applications in the past.
It does not include
  • the time it takes to send an application between a visa application centre and our office
  • the time you need to give your biometrics
Your processing time starts the day we receive your complete application and ends when we make a decision. It may vary depending on how many applications we get or if your application is complex.
Your application may be delayed or returned if it’s not complete.

Applied visitor visa for a friend on 6th of July (previous visa applied on 4th of June that was rejected on 5th of July).
Bio updated on the same day: 6th of July
Current status: Processing the application
No update since the application submission.

If you're wondering what is the difference between the last application and the new one.
- Revised invitation letter with a lot more details of the trip.
- Last time the application was submitted by the applicant
- The new application submitted by me (the host)
- Added the form imm5476e

Applied for parents in law:

Applied on: July 15th 2024
Biometrics Requested for Parent 1: July 15th
Biometrics not yet requested for Parent 2.

Even though Parent 2 was the primary applicant, they didn’t receive the request yet. Should I be concerned?

Parent 1 is waiting for Parent 2 to receive Biometrics Request so they can give the biometrics together (as it’s far in another city). How long should they wait?

You can not really predict.... few are getting the biometric request even after around 20 days. No need to be concerned, it's normal. Just wait and be positive
