I am looking for some advice on my next step.
I am a Canadian citizen, and my parents live in India, my mom is housewife, and my dad is a retired police officer. Initially I applied for my parents visiting visa in 2016 so they can attend my graduation, but it was declined. Later, I applied for my parent's visa in 2022. At that time, my mom got visa for 10 years and my dad got visa for only 2 years (his passport was good till 2026). He is a retired police officer at that time so that could be the reason.
Anyways, I recently applied for my dad's visa on the new portal under new GC key ID as the old one was expired. My dad showed funds close to $50,000 and I also stated my income and savings of $50,000 to pay for his stay and meals in Canada. After retirement, he took a consultancy job in 2023 and works there regularly and we attached the letter of employment and pay stubs. I was certain that he will get the visitor visa as he was already approved the last time. They visited me in 2022 and stayed for 1.5 months and went back to India. We received a refusal letter after a month stating that visa officer is not satisfied that he will leave Canada after his stay and the funds are not sufficient.
In the application, we mentioned that he would stay for 3.5 months, maybe that was too many days for his stay along with my mom?
We did attach his bank statements, paystubs, and employment letter, which signifies that he has a job and savings in India to go back to?
My cousin is an Immigration consultant and she advised me to reach out to MP and see if they can be of any help. So, I am looking for some advice on my next step? I am also going to buy a house in a month, and I was excited for their visit to the new place. Not related, but I am panning to get married next summer in Canada, so would that be a good time to apply again? I am going to wait a few months anyways to apply for his visa again. Should I go super visa route with his passport valid till 2026?
