Sorry this happened to you. I doubt immigration will do much about the matter, this seems to be more of a civil matter, which should go to the police.

You should be contacting the police not immigration.

Might. Becomes a he said she said. Trying to move and yet let authorities know. Concerned as crossed lots of boundaries easily. Doubt am first. Like to be last. Have had lovely experiences with others from India. Learned how to make black chana soup and have chai most nights. This is not I think a cultural thing. .is a predatory thing.

His nationality (or yours) is completely irrelevant. If you feel that a crime has been committed, you go to the police. They will help you. A crime may or may not have been committed, but the police will give you guidance on how to deal with it, get you in touch with social services, etc.

Immigration has nothing to do with this.

I understand that this thread is from a few years ago, but it's worth emphasizing that addressing issues like sexual harassment remains crucial, even as time passes. Reporting such incidents not only helps individuals seek justice and support but also contributes to creating a safer environment for everyone.
Additionally, in today's digital world, ensuring online safety and privacy is equally important. Services like Private Digital Investigation security services can help protect your online presence and personal information, ensuring a more secure online experience.

I'm sorry to hear about the distressing situation you're experiencing. As a lawyer, I recommend taking the following steps to address and report the harassment:

  1. Contact Local Authorities: Report the incident to the police in your area in BC. They can document your report and initiate an investigation if necessary.
  2. Notify Immigration Authorities: Contact Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to inform them of the harassment. Providing them with details can help ensure that this individual's behavior is noted in their file.
  3. Seek Legal Advice: Consulting with a lawyer who specializes in harassment or immigration law can provide you with tailored advice on how to proceed. They can guide you on the best course of action and assist in filing any necessary reports.
It's crucial to ensure your safety and well-being throughout this process. Consider reaching out to local support groups or organizations that assist victims of harassment for additional support and resources. Stay safe.

yes I totally agree with you. This has nothing to with the nationality, also you are a citizen you got to have more rights than anyone else who stays in your country.

Why even mention that he’s Indian if his ethnic background is irrelevant? It just makes it look like you have an agenda against this particular race.

The only thing that matters is his nationality. If he’s a citizen of Canada then report him to the RCMP.
