in addition to my comment, I found this document and I think it should be okay since the refugee travel document provided by Canadian Authorities

this is the the countries exempt for at least 6 months rule.

Always better to have a renewed travel documents if you have time for the interview.

I actually have same situation. mine will be expired in December and my appointment a few days later.

You can or I mean You must renew. For travelling your document must be valid at least 6 months.
Renew your travel document. It Will have the same number. In your profile where You change your appointment , You can edit change the issue date and expire date of your RTD. You can do that until the day before your appointment.

Don't be afraid and do it.

I suggest to call to the consulate Tomorrow. Ask to speak with an agent. And ask about it. Maybe You have to reschedule.

no, I am not. But showed them wp, sp and eligibility letter.

Did you ask why they give you 6 months visa? I think it is not worth it. We pay more than 200$ and filling forms and booking appointment. I was about to apply as well, but now I will not apply for US visa

sorry to not mention up there that I got the visa on a passport that has less than 6 months expiry date. I believe they might issue just 6 months because of my validity of my passport. Perhaps, 10 years, that would be great for me !
