Claiming Job Offer points - Company not providing in writing - URGENT Help required

Hi All

i have situation with my PR application and looking for help asap:

I have work experience in Canada for 2 years, with LMIA exempt close work permit for an employer. My work permit is valid till March-2025 ( with a subject to renewal in Oct-22024).
My employer has provided a letter containing details on my permanent, full-time job, date of joining, start date in Canada , end date in current assignment ( as per work permit expiry which is mar-2025), salary, hours, role and job responsibilities.
But they refuse to mention that i will be employed for 1 year after i receive PR application.

I believe the end date of my work permit, can help in there, but that too its less than a year from now.

Is it possible to claim the extra 50 points using the same letter? if not, what other options i have? my current CRS score without the 50 points is 486.
Please help urgently.

You are free to try however IRCC may not allow you to claim the points without the right wording in the letter. Your work permit also expires in less than a year.

Ya, it is very common for most employers not to mention the end of the assignment in the experience letters.

However, they offer letters periodically either for closed WorkPermit extensions or promotions or to offer increments, etc.. You will have to intelligently reuse these letters for your PR application. Thus there are 3 ways you can rectify your situation

1) When was your original WP applied, was it less than 6 months ago?
If yes then the offer letter that was used for the Close WP I assume has the end date of assignment as March 2025 or does it state yours is a permanent position that will be extended based on company needs bla..bla... You can try to use the same letter for the PR

2) Did you receive an increment or promotion letter in between or an increment letter that has a future end date of the assignment or does it state yours is a permanent position that will be extended etc..

2) The last option is to reuse the letter that your employer will potentially give you for renewal of your WP around March 2025.
Assuming that an assignment end date is longer than a year,

I heard in past, people have got PR without much scrutiny on the duration, since they were working for the company for 2 years and had other details on payslip, reference letter. Will it be worth trying? any impact it may have on my application?

Ya, I have read in these forums too that in the past folks have used offer letters dated more than a year back, etc... but no of late IRCC seems to check for letters no older than 6 months.

I would say rather than trying to put wool over the eyes of IRCC and wishing hopefully they won't uncover it, I would say you need to manage your employer. Employers have set ways of working and it is not easy to have one single letter the way IRCC wants. I submitted 4 letters from my employer given by 3 different departments via an automated system. I was talking to an old colleague /confidant who told me that he planned and gathered all his documents over many months and even a couple of years. The roles and responsibility letter unless you move NOC codes will remain the same as mine were for the last 10 years only thing is I changed employers.

These offer letters with a future assignment end date in the future for visa renewals in my colleague's case are given by 2 different departments in his company, the HR checked with his manager how long the assignment is for and gave an offer letter which is then used by immigration. HR didn't have a view of how when the visa expires so what this person did was request his HR to issue a new letter for visa renewal, bang he got one with a 2-3 year duration mentioned in it, and he happily used it for the PR application.

i have a mail mentioning the Work permit extension will happen in Oc-24. Will that suffice as a proof, given my current WP is getting expired in Apr-25.
