Invitation section for mother's visitor visa application

Hi,

I have started the TRV application for my mom. I am currently at the "Invitation" section and have filled in my details. I unfortunately do not (yet) have funds/bank accounts in Canada, since I am not working. I do have funds in the US (studied and worked there for the last 6 years). I live with my husband, who works and supports me financially.

1. Should I add my husband as also someone inviting her? Or would this be counter-productive in some way?
2. Should we show both my husband's (Canadian) and my (US) funds? My mom will be covering air fare and some other expenses while we will provide for her accommodation and food.

Any other tips would also be appreciated. Thank you!

if it's just for accommodation that you'll support, no need to send your funds
But if you take care of some expenses, you should provide your funds
If in the invitation letter you'll mention that you and your husband invite her, so you provide both of your funds

1. Not needed. Invitation should say that she is visiting and you will be providing her accommodation and food but she can cover all other expenses.
2. You can include both funds but if your funds are not in a Canadian bank then IRCC may not consider them. IRCC doesn’t need to consider husband’s funds either. So make sure her bank statements are included to afford her stay. Visit should not be long.

Okay, got it. Thank you.

Yes, I'll be including her bank statements. She has some joint accounts with my dad. When I include those statements, should I mention that someone else is giving her money for her trip? How would that work?
