Thanks Abbas and
LargeLanguageModelBot

Looks like these 2 locations (Champlain and Ogdensburg) conduct joint interview with Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and U.S. CBP officers

The following centers are open for scheduled NEXUS split interviews: https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/services/travel-voyage/prog/nexus/centres-eng.html
  • Lansdowne, Ontario / Alexandria Bay, New York
  • Fort Erie, Ontario (Peace Bridge) / Buffalo, New York (Peace Bridge)
  • Derby Line, Vermont / Stanstead, Quebec

So I finally received conditional approval today.

Applied on 27 September 2023
Conditional approval 29 May 2024

The email completely took me by surprise as I was not expecting anything at least till fall. I also got lucky and booked my interview at YVR on June 16. I am flying out to LA on June 20 so hopefully will have both interviews done.

I was an Indian citizen when I applied and now I’m a Canadian citizen. Is there any way to update my application about my nationality before the interview or will that be done at the interview?

Thank you
they'll add your Canadian citizenship info at the interview, not delete Indian citizenship info. Ask them to specifically delete Indian citizenship info. This way your Nexus card will have the right citizenship info + there won't be any faux dual citizenship status in their system.

I applied for a family of 3 ( 2 adults and 1 child) on October 23, 2023. My daughter (the child) was conditionally approved on March 18, 2024. The applications for the two adults remain pending. I'm not sure If I can expect conditional approvals soon.
My spouse got approval on June 1, 2024. 2 of the 3 applications are now done. Mine remains pending. It is a long wait. I hope I get approved soon.

Pls I have a question about Nexus I applied last month , when I check the portal my Membership # / PASSID has now been assigned I remember when I first applied it was showing not assigned yet. Is that a good thing ? Or membership ID gets assigned after they’ve you’re debited. It took them like 2 weeks to debit my account

Hi @abbas.pasha

Having a similar situation & booked interview on 17-Jun. Please advise if below docs are sufficient ?

Adults - Can PP, Ind PP(with US Visa), Appointment Letter, Canadian DL, Employment letter(??)
Kids - US PP, parent's PP/ birth certificate, Appointment Letter.

Let me know if I m missing something here.

Also as Canadian Citizen, should we explicitly call out for Global Entry and TSA Pre-check to be enabled on our cards?

Thanks

Just take the passport with which applied for the Nexus...
If it is Canadian then just take that.
If you originally applied with a Indian one but now want to change it to the Canadian one, just carry both originals. At the border crossing only present the Canadian one. At the Nexus enrollment center just present the passport you will use to enter the US. If any changes are required do mention it to the CBP officer and they can make the changes in the system

Along with the passport(s) carry the print out of the Nexus conditional approval and the appointment booked

Nexus includes TSA pre-check for Canadian citizen.

Thanks @abbas.pasha - Just to clarify, with Canadian passport, would the NEXUS card automatically come up with this benefits or do we need to ask the officers there to update.
