You can only apply for CCB once you've been in Canada and working for 18 months. No, you won't get payments retroactively for 18 months.

If we apply for CCB being in Canada post 18 month over on valid work permit, IS CCB paid for past 18 month since arrival..

Hello, my husband and I moved to Canada since May 2022 and my baby was born in Canada on Feb 2023. We have submitted the CCB on Dec 2022(already stated in Canada for 18 months) but were told to submit the 2022 first 4 months international salary before coming to Canada. However when we called to the CRA, they asked us to submit 2020-2022 international salary to calculate the amount of CCB we are eligible. My question is why we need to submit 2 more years to calculate the CCB amount? CCB amount is not calculating based on the previous whole year ? That means 2022 is enough? Thanks for your reply.

Do you mean you submitted CCB request in December 2024 not 2022?
