Canadian Experience Class (CEC) VS. General draw

Hi can someone please explain to me the difference between being selected through the CEC draw and a General draw. Is there any price differential? Additionally if I could qualify for either is there a reason to go with one over the other?

The CEC draws (if and when they happen) are only open to CEC applicants. The general draws are open to both CEC and FSW applicants. Otherwise there is no difference.

You don't really chose which one you are selected under. You just get selected. You cannot be selected under both.

Thank you for the reply. Does one have to specifically apply for CEC or a general express entry application will be put up for CEC if it meets the criteria?
Additionally is there a cost difference to CEC?

There are no cost differences. You submit one Express Entry profile and this determines which programs you qualify for.
