Try to get in touch with IRCC. I did the same & they’d mentioned that it’d be done in 4-7 weeks as of April 7th. 4.5 weeks in now. Wishing y’all the best & hoping y’all are approved!

Hi. Yes I have already received PPR last May 14. It took our application 7 months before receiving the decision.

Thanks! I applied from the Philippines. I actually dont know the reason for the delay ‘cause they didn’t request anything from me.

Biometrics done: 7 June

The IRCC status tracker says:
Background verification: in progress
Biometrics: in progress (although on my IRCC portal it says completed June 24th)
Medical: not started yet (IRCC portal says I do not need a medical exam)
Eligibility: not started yet

And I have received no further updates yet

Oh that sucks, I feel like the whole process is so messy. My friend applied for the same permit 2 weeks earlier and got accepted within 3 weeks and it’s been about a month for me and still no update…

I applied for non sds study permit on 5th April and had upfront medical and biometrics updated on 10th April. Anyone has applied through non sds recently? How long did it take to receive your permit? Share please

Did you get you study permit visa? is there any need for English test for non-sds?

This is my time line:

Biometrics done: June 7th

The IRCC status tracker says:
Background check: completed June 24th
Biometrics: completed June 24th
Medical: not needed
Eligibility: completed July 17th
Final decision: July 17th

It took 43 days in total!
