Okay ..but I live outside of Quebec in Toronto more specifically and my spouse is in Jamaica that is where I was told that the papers are , we did everything from last March like bioc , medical etc..and we still haven't hear anything from then .

quick question regarding outland sponsorship for my spouse who is on visitor visa in canada. If I file for outland sponsorship for my spouse, am I required to file for visitor visa extension after 6 months as the processing can take more than 6 months? What are the chances of travelling in and out of canada while the outland application is in process?

If s/he planned to stay past 6 months, apply to extend the stay before the 6 months default visitor status is expired. The sponsorship application doesn't provide any status for the PA.

If you received AOR, you can apply OWP for your spouse and with the OWP application, your spouse will be in maintenance status.
Otherwise, travelling in and out would be fine since it's an outland application.
