Pr card renewal possible if left Canada as a minor

Hi this is by far the most helpful thing I’ve read on the internet since I started researching for myself. I have a similar(ish) case, and I’ve been under a lot of stress trying to figure out what the worst case scenario could be if I tried entering back into Canada through the US border with my record of landing and an expired PR card(expired since 2008). The last time I was in Canada was 2012, and I’ve only really spent a year there. I now plan to get married to my fiancé who’s living in Canada(permanent resident) and live there with him.
Any advice? Does what you said about two years ago still apply?

No they have become much more strict. You can get married and have your spouse sponsor you.

My minor children are currently OUT of canada and pr cards will expire in few months but I am in Canada, can i renew their pr cards? They have met the required residency days. Thanks!

Apply PRTD from outside as long as they meet their RO.

Really important that they return when still meeting RO or could be refused PRTD. PRTDs only last a limited period of time so should only apply when they plan on returning.

they meet their RO we landed 2019, they only left 2024. From 2019-2024, i should have renewed their pr cards before they left but i misunderstood the “send pictures of broken pr cards” thats why i didnt proceeded. But now, they left. They are out of canada since march 2024 and plan to go back in canada on march 2025. I will also process our citizenship
