H1b Interview at Ottawa 22/2024 and got 221g Green slip and returned passport.

221g Green slip.
I had an interview for my H1B in Ottawa and VO gave me a Green slip 221g and returned passport.
VO asked a couple of questions.
Current company name.
Job responsibilities
How many years on H1B
was on H1B before that
Where from I renew my passport
In which year you visited your home Country
Did I maintain my status
Then VO asked for the resume (I have a hard copy) and kept checking and later asked for the university details.
In the end, VO told me additional documents needed and gave me a green slip 221g. In the additional document, I need to email my resume only which I emailed.
Any idea how long it will take?

Why does VO need to see your resume thats the first time I hve heard this happening.

Thats true! Even I dont know why need in soft copy after checking in a hard copy.

Thanks, but do you reside in Canada? Work in US, travel daily?

Was this an extension or amendment?Sending resume is not uncommon during extensions/amendment. My attorneys have always asked for an updated resume.

I am on Visitor Visa. No

No, first time H1B and stamping.

I saw one recent post where VO asked for the resume and Transcript and in 2018 and 2019 VO asked resume from sizable number of applicants.

I recently went to H4 stamping in Toronto and i was given 221G saying it has nothing to do at my end and there is a documentation verification on their end and I got the email next day asking for my husbands H1 approval notice, I sent it immediately.

anyone in the same boat, if so in how many days you received the passport ? Is there anyway to track the passport

You can check the status on that website. CEAC (state.gov)

After getting 221g were you able to see the changes in the appointment portal under ----Applicant actions ---- details----- then go end of page there is "Follow-up Action History" is there anything?

Did you check on CEAC (state.gov). I think you don't need to worry; you will receive email with tracking Number soon.

I had an Interview on Feb 22 and done with eight weeks.
