H1b Interview at Ottawa 22/2024 and got 221g Green slip and returned passport.

I had an Interview on Feb 22 and done with eight weeks.

Did you consult with your work attorneys? Also in this post it appears green slip appears to be a refusal. Yours likely isn’t since Vo said they need additional info, but typically they keep passport in such situations.


Does your green slip read the same? If so, you won’t hear back.

Yes, I did, and the attorney said we have to wait. Sometime VO keep or return passport. I know someone had an interview at Calgary Embassy and VO asked for the Resume and Transcript. His visa was approved in one month.

You’re right. I read a few more reviews and it appears its just a non-routine process and usually/eventually a visa is issued. I hope you get to hear back in next two weeks.

I emailed the embassy, and they mentioned the case in administrative process.

Why you need an H1B if you are a Canadian just go directly to the Border and get TN if you have a contract or Job offer.
