My cousin and his family submitted their visitor visa application from Bangladesh. Timeline is as follows:

Application submitted: December 10, 2023
Biometric completed: January 09, 2024
Eligibility: Completed (updated on January 15, 2024)
Background: In progress

The posted processing time by IRCC for Bangladesh is 43 days. Its been 60 days already since the completion of Biometric.

Their purpose of visit is attending a wedding event on April 02, 2024. As this is fast approaching, should we raise a webform? Does it have any adverse affect?
Our concern is if the processing continues to April, can it invalidate the purpose of their application?

If they can attend the wedding on April 02, that's great. If not, thats fine for us also as long as their application is approved and they can visit us afterwards.

Requesting expert opinions to see if raising a webform would be a good idea.

Processing time for TRVs are just estimated averages and often incorrect. The processing times for TRVs from Bangladesh from outside of Canada are much longer than 43 days unless being approved refused using AI. Processing times are typically multiple months. In general posted processing times do not guarantee processing will be completed during a specific time frame and because they are estimated averages some are processed much faster but many much longer. Would also ways look at others who are apply in for similar TRVs at the moment versus depend on posted processing times. If you found 5 people apply for TRVs from Bangladesh you will likely find many waiting 3+ months for results without needing any additional medical testing. All you can do is be patient. No point in raising webform because it will likely take around a month before you get a response. The results of the TRV could be affected by the fact that the wedding has already happened.

Thank you. Appreciate the detailed response!

Two follow-up questions:
1. If a webform is raised, can it negatively impact the application?
2. I know all the documents they submitted are legit and they do not have any criminal records. As the eligibility is showing complete, does that mean the application has high probability to get approved if the purpose of visit is still valid?
