Applying visitor visa for parents within canada

Hi,
my mother is in canada (came from India) with me on a visitor visa. her canada visa stamp on the passport is going to expire by Aug 2024. Im planning to apply for canada visitor visa again within canada. please suggest if anyone applied similarly or do we have to apply it from outside canada only?

She applies outland. If she is in Canada, if she wants to remain then she files for visitor extension/record. Once she leaves then she applies for another TRV.

thank you for the quick response. To apply for visitor extension/record, she needs to have a valid visa right?
