Since last week my tracker shows, background in progress but eligibility has not started. Is this normal, for background verification to start before eligibility?

Hi guys,what does it mean if eligibility is marked as in progress for primary applicant but not started for dependent. How long after background verification is marked as complete does eligibility get complete?

I asked a similar question and the answer I received was that it doesn’t matter. IRCC doesn’t have a fixed time line for these changes as for some people eligibility is completed before BCG checks so its hard to guess. Unless some one can provide their own experience

Hi, AOR Dec 29th here PNP Outland

I received a GU about status change on Feb 7th and I could view my updated UCI in GCKey, was able to check tracker after about 24hrs (Feb 8th)
Tracker says Biometrics in progress
and then I received an email for GCKey same Feb 8th about this status change
My concern is that I am yet to receive BIL/MIL (no upfront medicals) and this is 1 week post UCI update
Worried as no BIL/MIL yet but tracker says Biometrics in progress, hope I'm not missing out on anything and hope the time frame to get it done is not counting already.
I've checked GCKey through and through if there's any BIL/MIL, but none yet
Also checked my email inbox/spam, nothing
I noticed on this thread, AOR Dec 30th received BIL same Feb 8th
Has anyone experienced this, getting UCI without BIL

I had similar situation but then eligibility got updated post completion of Medical and biometric. At the moment, it is bGV in progress. For my dependents, eligibility has not started while BGV in progress. Looks normal as I saw other ppl with same status and getting COPR

Hi Guys! I am Dec 15th FSW healthcare draw and received BIL today.

however, my spouse didn’t.
is that normal? Should I raise a webform or probably we will get soon?

Hello guys, I am FSW Inland. I checked the tracker yesterday night and it showed eligibility "not started". Then I checked again this morning and it shows eligibility "completed". Is this normal please?
Can eligibility just jump from "not started" to "completed" overnight?

No. This is super variable from 1 candidate to another. That being said, you can search for other candidates that are in the same stream as you and see how long it took for them, it can give you an indication.
