Hello, good evening.

Please, I got an invitation to apply under FSW.
Healthcare category. I have experience in Canada here, since March 2023.
I worked in a retirement home as a nurse aide from March - October, my total hours were about 550/600
I worked somewhere else too starting August - October: my hours were 160 there and I have a final place where I worked October - January, with about 160 hours too. All above 800 hours (which is 6 months full time using hours).

I want to know if I can go ahead and accept the ITA and actually apply.

The relevant factor for the IRCC is your duration of continuous employment and the average hours worked per week, with a threshold of 35 hours per week. The total hours worked beyond 35 hours per week do not carry additional weight in their assessment.

For instance, if you've been continuously employed for a year (with reasonable gaps between jobs), meeting or exceeding the 35-hour per week mark, you meet the criteria. Here's what I came up with:

Continuous Employment for a Year: Suppose your employment started in February and you plan to apply for the Express Entry program in the following March. Even if your reference letter states an exaggerated figure something as crazy as ...let's say 1000 hours per week (which is clearly unrealistic), the IRCC would interpret it as meeting the 35-hour per week standard. Thus, you would be deemed eligible and receive points for one year of experience.

Try to focus on demonstrating continuous employment, averaging at least 35 hours per week, for the duration required by the IRCC.

If you remain employed(maintaining employment that matches the same NOC code which is crucial!!!) then I believe in March-April you can actually apply .
You seem to be in a wonderful position immigration wise , please do not stress too much over it , you are in Canada already, ensure that everything you need is in order and that you satisfy all the necessary requirements ,patience will be key as you navigate through the process!

!YOU CAN DO IT!

PLEASE READ WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR SITUATION AS MY WORDS ARE BASED SOLELY ON MY EXPERIENCE AND MY KNOWLEDGE THAT HAVE ACCUMULATED DURING THE PAST 2 YEARS

no updates yet @Canadian Snowbird, seems like your file picked immediately. Hopefully you will get updates soon.
Thank you so much!

We have passed our biometrics(already marked as complete) and we are doing our medicals tomorrow.
The ghost message turned out to be a med exam request!
Background check has started!

Fingers crossed , God we are praying that everything goes smoothly for us and for y'all!!

Thank you so much we are so excited . I hope it is a new thing and everyone's application will be processed fast.
Also it is just medicals and biometrics so it doesn't really mean anything speed wise.

Usually once application is picked up from pool they validate medical and biometrics. Hopefully it will process within 30 days time.
Are you serious? Please don't hype us up like that hahaha

Emmm...guys? My tracker is finally working! ( https://ircc-tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login )
Maybe it has something to do with us completing our biometrics today?

However....We have just noticed that our tracker says :"Application type: Provincial Nominee Program"

I decided to check my ITA out of curiosity and apparently it states "Based on the information you provided us in your Express Entry profile, we are pleased to invite you to apply for permanent residence under the Provincial Nominee Program"

Does it mean we were not selected for the FSW stream when we received our ITA on January 23 ?

I don't fully understand if it is good or bad time wise.... A little concerning because I thought we were in the FSW ,on the other hand, we did received our PNP from Ontario back on Jan 11,2024 after they picked us from the Express Entry pool so it kinda makes sense.

PNP+FSW-O is your category. Also, I believe you can start using the tracker once your UCI changes from CAN.. to an 11 digit number

Thank you!

it's just that it didn't work yesterday (the day of our AoR) but it works today(Biometrics completed) so I drew my conclusion from it
