Wife on TRV. Visit expires April 25. PR documents for inland sponsorship are ready to be submitted. I’m a Canadian Citizen by birth. Should I apply for the extension first or submit the PR documents first?

Since the sponsorship application does nothing to extend, or establish status in Canada, I suggest she apply to renew her TRV on April 24th (online). This will give her Maintained Status, which is a form of legal status, while the request is being processed.

So do the PR application first, then the extension. That make sense.
