Travel and address history dates

Hi everyone
When filling the dates of address and travel is the day inclusive or exclusive
In other words if I leave Canada on the 15th of December at night and arrived in the other country by the 15 of December as well does the 15th count as a day in Canada? And also a day in the other country or how does it work?
please let me know from both travelling and residence point of view

Example:
1. You leave Canada on July 1 and return to Canada on the same day; total number of days absent = 0
2. You leave Canada on July 1 and return to Canada on July 6; total number of days absent = 4
3. You leave Canada on July 1 and return to Canada on July 10; total number of days absent = 8

In practice, just let the calculator crunch the numbers for you to access the eligibility.
But if you wanna know, it is "inclusive". A day counts as "in Canada" for the physical presence requirement if you spend at least part of it in Canada and that's it, even if it's just a few minutes before/after midnight when you pass the customs, so that includes the day you leave the country and the day you come back.
