Hello, everyone! My parents have obtained approval for a supervisa, having previously held a visitor visa. I'm curious whether, for their upcoming entry into Canada, they should purchase supervisa insurance for an entire year, even though they only intend to stay for three months.

Make sure you can ask for a partial premium refund from the insurance company if your parents stay less than a year. However, they are required to get a supervisa insurance for at least a year.
For supervisa, they are required to provide Medical Insurance coverage worth 100k CAD or more good for 1 year. Other companies, have refund policies, others are actually accepting monthly pay for 1 year.
