Successful super visa re-entry

Hello!

All that was needed was the passport with the super visa counterfoil inside and insurance upon re-entry at Pearson International.
Timeline:
Entered May 2022 for the first time with 2 years (full stay.)
Left to go abroad on Sept. 9, 2023 for 8 days.
Came back to Toronto, Sept. 17, 2023.
Questions asked were very few: "So you left and came back? Do you have insurance? How long are you staying?"
We told them five years. They stamped the customs ticket, not the passport, which we took a picture of before handing it over to the final customs officer upon exit to the carousels.

5 years is only valid if you can get supervisa insurance.

Insurance is mandatory in any case so I don't understand what you're trying to say. You need to show insurance that is valid for at least 1 year and you will be eligible for the full 5 year stay.

You have to apply for supervisa insurance every year. If you can’t get supervisa insurance or don’t pay for supervisa insurance you are breaking the terms of a supervisa so it is no longer valid. The supervisa insurance is only granted one year at a time because the insurance companies want to be able to assess any changes in health and healthcare use every year. If a supervisa holder gets ill and starts using a lot of healthcare then the cost of the policy next year will be much higher or insurers will no longer be willing to provide supervisa insurance to the parent or grandparent. So even if you were granted a 5 year stay that stay is conditional on being able to secure supervisa insurance every year.

No one is disputing this.
I have direct experience with applying for Canadian visitor visas, both Young Professionals and Working Holiday IEC work visas, adjustment of status, PR, citizenship, humanitarian (my friend) and super visas. I am aware of what is what.

Did you have insurance for a full year when you were entered?
