Canceled Citizenship Ceremony

Hello everyone,

My partner was scheduled to have the Citizenship ceremony tomorrow Sept. 15th which we saw and have the screenshot through her online tracker. Suddenly, the ceremony update disappeared but Citizenship Ceremony is still showing “In Progress “
We called CIC 4 days ago and they said everything is fine but the ceremony was cancelled without any explanation why.
Please, has anyone had such experience? We are freaking out here because we don’t know what happened.

My whole family's oath ceremony got canceled. It's strange - we got the congrats message in the tracker at the start of August, saying that we were scheduled for Sept 13. Then we never got any invitation. Last week on Thursday, we replied to the invitation to our test that we received in April, doing it in the hope that whoever receives it will forward our request to the office who does the scheduling. Indeed, we have received a message from our office in Scarborough to the effect that ceremony was canceled on that day and that we will be all rescheduled "in due course." Nothing since then. As for the tracker, it still says that we are scheduled for Sept 13. It's all so crazy...

I contacted my MP representative and she talked with an IRCC agent on my behalf. She wrote to me what follows: "The agent was not able to provide details however noted that you will be reached out to directly in due time. Keep a close eye on correspondence from IRCC." That's all update up to now. I put it in my schedule to call IRCC in 3 weeks and ask about any updates if I do not hear from them by that time... May God give us patience to go through this process without losing our heart...

Hi have they rescheduled your oath? I have the same issue. My oath was in September 12th but was canceled due to administrative error.

Nothing yet, unfortunately! It seems it might take months of waiting. Hopefully, less than 6 months. People are stuck from mid-July. Unless for some really weighty reason (job opprtunity abroad, etc), they do not seem interested to get thing done quicker. Our oath date might come today, it might come in March, it might come (God forbid!) in September. They refuse to tell any processing times. I only know that any rescheduling should not take more than 6 months, but a friend of mine who missed his ceremony is in his 8th month of reschedule wait now. It is heart-breaking to be treated like that when being just a step away from becoming this country's own denizen.

There’s no reschedule yet for me. I’m just wondering what happened. People I applied before them are swearing in without any issues. Has anyone been rescheduled since Sept. cancellation?
