Is there higher chance of Visa Rejections for my Parents because of India-Canada tensions?

Folks! I'm a Permanent Resident in BC, Canada. I have my parents back in India who would like to visit me once in a while. I was thinking of applying for either a tourist visa or super visa for them. My parents have no plans to settle down in Canada, they just want to visit me. Here are some questions I had:

• Is it true that visa rejections are higher nowadays due to the India-Canada tensions (hint: Khalistan)? Are there any cases of evidence?
• Is it better to avoid the Super Visa because it involves higher scrutiny and higher chances for rejection?
• What are the odds of getting rejected in general for parents above age of 60y.o?

For context, I was told of this higher rejection rate by a local travel agent in my town. I know he may be lying or doesn't have the full info. That's why I ask.

No one really knows outside of what's been going around in the news. Unless your travel agent has some solid evidence, I'd assume he's guessing.

All that was said recently is that Canada pulled out a consider amount of government people and their families from India because they were going to lose the diplomat status.
Because of that New Delhi Visa Office is processing things at a slower rate than before.

Aside from the processing speed, there hasn't been any evidence that people are being rejected due to tensions.
In my opinion that shouldn't affect you at all. If they are just visiting I would apply for a tourist visa, it's easier and cheaper.

Post further questions under Visitor visas as this is not a family sponsorship issue. For Supervisa, they need to pass the medical and you need to meet LICO.

Very unlikely that this is impacting visitor approval. Your parents also don’t need to use a consultant to apply for a TRV. They charge a fee for limited benefit. If anything they often hurt applications. I’m sure this consultant also told them that there is a higher rate of approval if you use a consultant to apply versus doing it on you own.
