DISCUSSION: This feels like 2015-16 all over again.

Hi all,

I was just looking at the scores and draws. EE seems like it is back to 2015-2016 levels. Back in 2016 scores here hovering to the 600-700s. For younger people like me, who have limited education, limited work experience and came with an IEC, the stats are not looking good.
What's your take on this?

Younger people have even more advantages. You get the highest score for your age, the rest is all up to you. Maximize language score (English and French), get one year of experience you will be more than good to go.

You are viewing this from the lens of not being able to secure a PR in the short term. Given your age and if you play your cards right, you have a high chance of securing a PR. Once you are above 30, start losing age points and can't make career pivots - that's where these things get difficult.

I guess back in 2015-16, the scoring/points structure and allocation was way different, hence scores were in range of 600-700. You cannot compare that with current set up.
