Hi, can someone guide me on how I can track my submission? I sent documents via post and it reached BLS Brampton on Thursday.

Also you can use the passport seva site, from your applied. Login to your account and track application from there.
This is crazy. Others are getting in 10 days. I don't understand why it's always so slow in Ottawa.

congrats! mine also was received on Thursday. No email yet. may I know what does the email say and from which id it comes?

I am in the same boat as you. My application status on the Passport Seva portal shows "The surrender certificate has been printed" since last week, however, the BLS tracker stills shows it as "Processing at the High Commission". My application was a walk-in at the Ottawa BLS office in early September.
When did it say printed? Would take 5 days after that to be ready for collection.

During this Pandemic and Provincial lock-down, postal application processing time at BLS Quarantined Postal Hub at Brampton/ Surrey/ Ottawa is 3 - 5 business days to process and send the application to Consulate for their decisioning process. The time taken at Consulate would depend on the category / merit of your application. You are required to submit your application duly filled up along with document checklist as mentioned on BLS website. Incomplete or Erroneous applications would be returned back, to you

Thank you all for the informative posts and updates. I have 3 questions which am hoping can be answered here as well.
I and my wife have separate appointments tomorrow 11/03 at Brampton BLS for a walk in application. I will be carrying cash of $129.40 per head . I will have extra cash in case they play tricks on document printing and photos. My question is on the collection of the surrender certificate and cancelled Indian passport.
- Can I pick these up after 3 /4 weeks from Brampton BLS for both myself and my wife ?
-or is this not an option at all ?
- If courier service needs to be paid for what does that cost ?
