I have a quick question, I have an appointment for the visa can I use that one for OCI submission?
For OCI submission Demand draft will be created in favour of "High Commission of India, Ottawa” / “Consulate General of India, Toronto” / Consulate General of India, Vancouver" or only the Consulate General of India, Toronto? do we have to mention the address as well of the Consulate General of India, Toronto?

What is your location?
If its not Ottawa, 3 weeks for SC and 10-15 days for entry-visa, you should have everything by Dec.

You should have applied for SC if you got passport last month.

I don't think so. As you need to add additional 4 weeks on top of normal processing. I feel they would be 45 days based on -
Surrender Certificate - Close to 7-8 weeks when the standard is 2-3 weeks
OCI - 9-10 weeks when the standard is 5-6 weeks.

So when others are saying 10-15 days, they would be close to 40-45 days. Hope I am wrong.

Of what I understand, surrender certificate is mandatory now to submit the entry visa application (atleast BLS Brampton).. One of the guys in other forum found it out the hard way.. You could call Surrey BLS and check with them

The address you provide, you need proof of the same. Like driving license etc. on the same address. If you have one, you can do it.

Note: Address proof must match with the address provided in the application form. Copies must be self-attested (signed) by the applicant.
