e-Visa for Canadian citizens??

I am confused when people talk about eVisa for Canadian citizens. I see in the Govt. of India visa website that Canadians are not eligible for eVisa. How is this possible?

They have allowed Entry Visa and not eVisa.

Thanks for the reply. My question is not related to the current visa ban. Imagine 6 months ago when things were normal, could a Canadian citizen apply for eVisa? When I open the application website, it asks for nationality. There, there is no option to select Canada.

That option got removed on Sep 21st when Indian gov banned visa for Canadians. Before that it was available. Not sure when it will be back, till then Entry Visa/OCI is the available option.
