Did you pay your fee directly here? https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do

Or did they give a separate link only for your application?
I had my representative so they send him email that have all web form instructions how we pay biometrics fees i think its normal web form like anybody can raise so you can wait for AOR when you got your uci and application number send them a webform with fees receipt.

I don’t have an application number for now but I have my UCI from previous TRV. I included UCI while sending the biometric fee receipt using web form.

If IRCC asks for Biometric again in future, I can send again using application form and UCI.

Hello I am wondering if you guys can give me your opinion. Im a Pakistan Canadian dual citizen and married my wife in Pakistan back in Feb 2022 in a very simple marriage ceremony and we have a 10 month daughter together. I have all other proofs except my marriage ceremony has very limited photos as we rushed it due to my medical reasons and also because I didn't realize the importance of having proper marriage with all the functions and capturing them on camera . Since then I have been gathering many proofs(marriage documents, financial, visiting my wife, living together, post marriage outings, whatsapp, raising of our child) but I am not sure what to do about marriage photos.

I have pics of us sitting with few relatives and nikah video but nothing of rukhsati as her house is right next door and we casually walked over to my house. But our rukhsati did happen as we have a 10 month daughter. Do I need to explain this in my application or just ignore this part since its obvious my wifes rukhsati had to happen to have child together?
We have many post marriage outings and pics together with our daughter, but they are mostly just selfies, so as I am currently in Pakistan, do you recommend I host a dinner with friends, relatives and include pictures with them to show their support or further if I should go on a couple days trip together with wife to show there is no restraint on our relationship? Please advice?

Just for information, I recently applied for my daughter's Canadian citizenship certificate and hoping to soon apply to sponsor my wife.

No need to worry.

You will need to write a cover letter, explaining each of the above things in crystal clear and concise way. Dont worry about the follow up questions, that sometime pop up in our mind, dont answer those in your cover letter. That will just change the cover letter into a novel. No - stick to facts. Use dates, event names - and a brief but complete description.

have you read the application guide? Use that as a template of question list to write your answer.

Whatever pics, videos you have - include it - label it properly and provide clear description of it as well. Have you seen Hit and Submit channel on youtube? That guy made a pretty good video on how to prepare your application, along with how to list your media files, photos etc. everything. check that out please.

Why do you have to prove there is no restraint in relationship.....The natural follow up to that will be ....is that your child....or not? So dont overdo anything. Just first make a list of all the events, get togethers, pre and post marriage, by date, by location, attendents and if there is any media proof of it. make a list of those. Then select the ones that will make most sense to include in your application.

One question though - are you still outside Canada? If yes - do you have any plans to return back to Canada....if yes, WHY? and WHEN?-- you will need to provide evidence, not just ticket, but the 'why' part. The officer needs to see if you have a life in Canada...if not, then whats the point of sponsoring someone else?

Consider those points while making your application - check the hit and submit videos.....everything will go smooth.

And lastly, but not the least - Congrats on becoming a parent!
Wish you all the best.

Hey thanks for replying. I have gone over the application guide, document checklist etc, and will watch more of that YouTube channel when time comes to complete my application.

You may be right I am overthinking a lot but the main reason for that is because of our overly simple marriage ceremony and only few pics of it. We had minimal guests in pics so that's why I mentioned restraint because I don't want the immigration to think our marriage is not recognized by friends, relatives because it is as we are raising a child and both families visit each other, I just didn't take pictures because we didn't really have any proper occasion, event to take them. I was going through some medical issues, then went back to Canada so we weren't together to take any pics, only when my daughter was born, I came back for 2 months but my wife had csection and because of our newborn, it wasn't possible to have event, I only took random selfies with her and my daughter at home.

That's why I am thinking that now Im in Pakistan(will be going back to Canada soon) to have a dinner or event now and invite some friends, relatives to take pictures. My daughter and wife's birthday is next month so I am planning to maybe postpone going back until then to take some pictures with friends and relatives. But it will be another month out of work so it will cost me financially.

Other than maybe missing group photos, I do feel I have enough evidence in post marriage pics together, couple of pre marriage selfies from 2019,wife's pregnancy medical check ups and reports, our child, proof of financial support and visits, me and and wife living together while me in Pakistan, and daily whatsapp chats, calls while I'm in Canada.

I am living in Canada, just this is second time I am visiting my wife and daughter. Now I am just debating if I should go back and start work or stay till next month so I can attend my daughter's 1st birthday.

It would be an easy application if you apply Spousal outland application as a Canadian citizen for your wife on Feb 2024(2 years after the date of marriage) from Pakistan. This will fulfill all the conditions of IMM 5533e section 7 (a,b,c,d=YES). You just have to write a letter of intent to live in Canada.

You do not need to provide any wedding photos, chat screenshot or letters from friends/family if you answer yes to a,b,c,d subsection of section 7 in IMM 5533e.

Pictures and events definitely support the case.

But main thing is proper documents. If you have proper documents required for the application, that should be it. Not every one has lavish wedding.

Finances are important too. I'd recommend having a family dinner with relatives now...and come back on your job asap. Secondly, these days, applications are being completed in record time. Last week, 2 applicants from June 2023 got passport requests.... That means 4-5 months of processing time!!!!.
That has never happened before.
So start filling forms..preparing all docs, get them translated, attested etc. Whatever application guide asks.

Apply ASAP before cic looses the momentum.

Hi all!
I applied for Outland spousal sponsorship on 3rd august this year. Seeing Facebook and WhatsApp groups almost everyone that submitted around that time already received AOR. Today marks 80 days since I submitted and I haven’t got any type of response so far. Should I be worried? Is there a maximum days till AOR?

Dear members I request your kind advice for a situation I'm at currently as Eritrean national living in Saudi Arabia my Canadian wife went back to Canada November 2020 and applied for a spouse sponsorship/PRCard in Dec 2020 for me and the case was returned as not eligible June 2022 after the biometric & medical checks because my wife didn't sign the marriage certificate and her father did as she did empowered him to do so by an official power of attorney from Canada's justice system back in 2019 and my daughter was born 2021 Mar in Canada but due to my work contract ending I went back to Eritrea which was a very bad idea then decided to escape that horror to Egypt 2023 Aug and contacted London Immigration office for the changes so during this two month they requested a medical check and filling the IMM5406, 5562, 5669 forms and more additional info and the case is pending for a month now without any changes in biometric, eligibility, background or decisions, so my question is that will the requesting of a refuge from UNHCR here in Egypt going to negatively impact my case after waiting for almost 3 years apart from my wife & child? Thank you in advance

I for one cannot parse sentences that long. Try bullet points.

According to the IRCC's website:
  • You must pay the biometric fee when you submit your application. Otherwise you may experience delays.
  • Get this done as soon as you get the letter from us that tells you to give biometrics.
  • You have 30 days to do this from the date on the letter.
Source: https://ircc.canada.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp

Based on that first statement, it sounds like the application wouldn't be returned, but you may experience delays. If I were you, I'd pay the biometric fee and send the receipt via web form. I assume when you send a web form, it gets linked to your application (on their side), so they would see this extra document (the biometric receipt) by the time they start reviewing it. But I'm not entirely sure what their workflow is (in fact, I wonder if this is how web forms work). It would be nice to see a record of each sent web form on the application's page (on our side) so people know that they got it.
After seeing your suggestion, I used the webform and submitted the biometric fee receipt. Got an automated reply on the same day after few hours and got an acknowledgement email back after one business day mentioning "We acknowledge receipt of the documents and wish to inform you that they have been added to the file. Please note, for technical reasons, they may not be visible in your online account. Rest assured that your supporting documents are indeed added and available for officer review."

Moreover, I researched and found out that applicants who did not submit biometric fee face delays, sometimes significant delays(more than a month). Thank you for your advice.
